It’s time to start full-scale preparations for winter, and that’s why you and I will bring colors back into our lives. That is, to brew Warming tea with aromatic Indian spices!
BLOOD MOON
So, for tea (non-alcoholic mulled wine) you will need:
- 1 whole pomegranate
- 4 glasses of water
- sprig of fresh rosemary
- 1 tablespoon dry black tea
- 5 peas black pepper
- 8 whole cloves
- 2 boxes of cardamom
- 1 cinnamon stick
If you are confused about using a whole pomegranate, you can pre-clean it and then prepare it only from the seeds or even use ready-made pomegranate juice right away.
- Wash the pomegranate well and cut it into quarters. Put the pomegranate in a pan, pour cold water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat, add a sprig of rosemary and keep the seagull on low heat for another 3-7 minutes, depending on how rich you like the drink. The infusion should acquire a thick dark color and aroma.
- Mix the other ingredients in a separate bowl (or in a tea bag).
- Pour the dry ingredients with pomegranate tea and let them infuse.
- If necessary, top up the tea with water, and mix everything with a cinnamon stick. Cinnamon is mainly used to decorate the drink, but you can also use ground – this way the tea will become even more aromatic.
- You can filter the drink before serving.
LAVENDER TEA
3 tablespoons of fresh lavender (or 1.5 tablespoons of dried)
2 glasses of water
honey and lemon as desired
- Everything is simple here – pour boiling water over the lavender and let the tea brew for 3-5 minutes.
- Add honey and lemon to give the drink a special taste.
- A sprig of fresh mint also plays its role well in lavender tea.
CHRISTMAS TEA
1 whole stick of cinnamon or 1 tbsp. ground spice
100 g dry green tea
5 cloves
1 tsp. grated ginger (fresh or dried)
1 vanilla pod
1 tbsp. cranberries (optional)
- Cut the vanilla lengthwise and remove the seeds with a spoon or the back of a knife. Cut the pod itself into pieces of a couple of centimeters.
- Break or grind the cinnamon.
- Put all the ingredients in a teapot, mix and pour boiling water – you can keep the tea on low heat for a couple of minutes.
- Leave to infuse to obtain a rich taste
And most importantly – feel free to experiment and enjoy the riot of flavors and aromas!
