The children’s holiday is just around the corner, and we just have time to try out new and old recipes for healthy homemade sweets. Besides, I don’t know about you, but I really don’t like to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, so let’s try to save time and nerves.
So, Useful sweets for Saint Nicholas Day
For candies you will need:
- 200 grams of dried apricots
- 200 grams of raisins
- 200 grams of pitted dates
- 200 grams of almonds (or peanuts)
- juice of half a lemon
- a tablespoon of honey
- a pinch of sea salt
- a tablespoon of warm coconut oil
- sesame
- and, if desired, a tablespoon cocoa powder or grated bitter chocolate
- Grind the nuts in a coffee grinder or blender.
- Add washed dried fruits and other ingredients there. If you don’t have a blender, then an ordinary meat grinder is perfect for grinding products (it is better to use a fine or medium mesh).
- We check the resulting mass for homogeneity and, just in case, thoroughly mix everything again.
- Then with dry hands or wearing disposable gloves, roll the dough into small balls, roll them in sesame or coconut shavings and put the sweets on a plate.
- In the “adult” version of the recipe, sesame can be replaced with cocoa, but then we lose the useful properties of sesame and a certain shade of taste qualities of candies.
Well, that’s about it. There are many options for this recipe, so I think we will return to it more than once)
