Sesame is the best addition to summer salads

The happy season of green salads has arrived, and we gratefully and happily set about destroying them with a dressing of olive oil, black Himalayan salt and sesame seeds.

We will talk about olive oil a little later, as well as about black Himalayan salt (oh, how unusual and daring dishes taste with it!), and today we will talk about sesame.

In ancient times, sesame was associated with immortality. Sesame seeds are really rich in vitamins and minerals necessary for the normal functioning of any human body.

  • helps to strengthen immunity
  • improves memory and concentration of attention
  • regulates hormonal imbalance in women
  • simply delicious!
Sesame can be used, as we have already mentioned, as:
  1. Useful decoration of salad and to enhance its taste
  2. Breading – roll and fry vegetables and seafood in it
  3. Thickener for sauces and gravies – simply grind sesame seeds in a coffee grinder and use the resulting flour to thicken sauces
  4. Add to baking – this makes the texture of the bread more lush and aromatic
However, it should be noted that:
  • due to the high calorie content of sesame, it is not recommended to consume more than two tablespoons per day
  • sesame does not last long, so it should be bought little by little and used sooner.
  • Sesame seeds do not spoil quickly, but due to the content of a large amount of oils, they acquire excessive bitterness, while losing their attractive sweet nutty aroma and taste.
