We are used to using flour mainly for culinary purposes, but for many centuries there have been other ways of using the medicinal properties of living grain. Today we present to our readers several simple recipes for masks made of whole grain rye flour for the care of the skin of the face, neck and décolletage.
Coarsely ground whole grain rye flour as a rejuvenating mask helps to get rid of blackheads, delicately cleanses oily skin from acne and eliminates sebaceous shine. Regular cosmetic procedures using rye flour will help tighten sagging skin and improve blood circulation, which is facilitated by an impressive set of useful micro- and macroelements in the composition of rye. But let’s add here a light scrubbing effect from bran.
Recipe No. 1
1 tbsp. coarsely ground rye flour
1-2 tbsp. of warm water
Recipe No. 2.
1 tbsp. whole grain rye flour
1 tbsp. coconut or almond milk
1 egg white
Recipe No. 3
2-3 tablespoons of whole grain rye flour
100 ml coconut milk or almond milk
1 tsp. fresh aloe juice
Notes
- to prepare a mask from whole grain rye flour, use only warm liquid – all the healing properties of the grain will be lost in boiling water
- the consistency of the mask should be uniform, without lumps, as dense as thick dough for fritters
- the duration of the masks is 15-20 minutes
- wash off the masks with warm water, herbal decoction or using a soft towel soaked in water, avoiding traumatic effects on the skin.
- after the mask, apply coconut oil or any other nourishing cream to the skin
- the frequency of using cleansing and rejuvenating masks based on coarsely ground whole grain rye flour – 1-2 times a week.
