Puddings based on chia seeds

Soon, chia and quinoa seeds will appear in the Masale storefront (spoiler alert)), but for now, all last week we experimented with recipes for chia puddings as both independent breakfasts and desserts. It was very tasty and bright! We will talk about the mega-useful properties of chia seeds a little later, but now catch the recipes for Puddings based on chia seeds

Notes

  • The usual ratio of chia seeds to liquid is 2-3 tablespoons per glass of liquid product.
  • The swelling time of chia seeds is 15-20 minutes on average.
  • Similar puddings they are not stored for a long time, so we recommend cooking them in small quantities and eating them right away.
  • The second option – chia seeds feel great in the refrigerator if you pour milk over them in the evening. Then in the morning you get a healthy breakfast – all you have to do is decorate it.
  • Pudding looks most impressive in a glass dish, especially if you alternate a layer of pudding and a layer of fruit. But, of course, this is optional.
  • In the recipes, we used our coconut milk, and since its fat content is 17%, for this dish we recommend diluting milk with boiled water 1 to 2 or 1 to 3 .

Banana chia pudding

1 banana
2-3 tbsp. chia seeds
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
3/4 cup coconut milk
Nuts for decoration

Lemon-raspberry chia pudding (a real vitamin bomb)

3 tbsp. chia seeds
1 tbsp. maple syrup (or honey)
Zest of 1 lemon
2/3 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup fresh raspberries* + a couple of berries for decoration

Puddings based on chia seeds
  • Mix the chia seeds, syrup and most of the lemon zest.
  • Mash the raspberries with a fork and alternate layers with the pudding or put all the fruit puree on the bottom and add the pudding on top.
  • Decorate with berries and the remaining lemon zest.
  • Strawberries, blueberries, mango or any other pureed fruit are great instead of fresh raspberries. Everything is in your hands. So hold tight to Puddings based on chia seeds!
