Cocoa oil body scrubs are a great way to cleanse and nourish the skin in any season of the year. It is important to choose the right base oil for the scrub in order to get the maximum benefit from the procedure.
We recommend aromatic Indian coconut oil from MASALE as an ideal component of a nourishing scrub.
- Coconut oil saturates with moisture and nourishes even very dry and sensitive skin
- Having pronounced moisturizing characteristics, it regenerates the upper layers of the epidermis, relieves inflammation and irritation
- Contributes to instant softening the skin, giving it an amazing velvety and softness
- Prevents the formation of cracks on the hands, elbows and heels, softening the roughened skin in problem areas.
Due to its properties, coconut oil has a high biological value of the fatty acids included in its composition. About 50% is lauric acid – a real source of useful properties, including regenerating, antimicrobial, antiviral, and protective properties. In addition to lauric acid, the composition of natural coconut oil includes hyaluronic, oleic, linolenic, myristic and other acids, vitamins A, C, E. Coconut oil is a powerful natural antioxidant.
We offer you several recipes for body scrubs based on coconut oil. The components of such scrubs can be coffee, sugar, oatmeal, tea, honey, salt and other various aromatic oils – the choice is yours!
General procedure for preparing scrubs based on coconut oil
Step 1: Mix the dry ingredients
Step 2: Add the coconut oil. You can melt it in a water bath beforehand, but it’s not necessary, it’s soft enough to mix well with the other ingredients
Step 3: Mix thoroughly with a wooden or plastic spoon/spatula
Step 4: Add a few drops of essential oil in the mixture for aroma and additional effect on the skin.
Step 5: we recommend using the scrubs immediately after they are made
The main effect is anti-cellulite and moisturizing
1 part ground coffee
1 part sea salt for baths
1 part coconut oil
5 drops of essential oil of your choice
The smell of coffee is best combined with woody aromas, for example:
– Himalayan cedar (Cedrus deodara)
– sandalwood (Santalum album)
or spicy oriental aromas:
– cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum)
– cinnamon Cinnamomum zeylanicum)
– clove tree (Eugenia caryophyllata)
Essential oils provide an additional anti-cellulite effect:
– tangerine (Citrus reticulata)
– patchouli (Pogostemon cablin)
– oregano (Origanum vulgare)null
The main effect is anti-cellulite for sensitive skin
For delicate sensitive skin, it is better to replace freshly ground coffee with boiled:
1 part of brewed coffee (it can be brewed specifically for preparing a scrub, but the coffee left in your coffee machine or in a Turk is suitable)
1 part of coconut oil
3 drops of hyssop essential oil (Hyssopus officinalis)
2 drops of noble laurel (Laurus nobilis) essential oil
Essential oil of common hyssop carefully cares for sensitive skin, gently eliminating inflammation and manifestations of skin reactions to the external environment. Noble laurel improves blood circulation and increases skin elasticity.
The main effect is softening and moisturizing
1 part of white sugar
2 parts of coconut oil
4 drops of lavender essential oil (Lavandula hybrida var. Grosso)
2 drops of peppermint essential oil (Mentha arvensis)
Lavender oil tones and increases the elasticity of the skin, restoring its vitality. Mint cleanses and promotes the regeneration of skin cells. The combination of the aroma of gentle lavender and menthol mint is one of the most popular for use in home cosmetics.
