Candies with walnuts and turmeric

Did you know that turmeric has a strong anti-inflammatory effect and is a natural antibiotic? This is what our body needs so much during the cold season! Let’s prepare delicious and healthy candies with walnuts and turmeric together.

INGREDIENTS:

1/3 cup walnuts
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon turmeric (plus a spoonful for sprinkling)
3/4 cup juicy dates (preferably royal dates. If dates dry, soak them for a couple of hours in cool water, and then drain it).

HOW TO PREPARE:

  • In a blender or food processor at high speed, grind the oatmeal into flour, then add the nuts, turmeric and mix again.
  • Add the dates and mix everything to a smooth dough.
  • Roll into balls, rolling each one in turmeric.
  • Nut balls with turmeric can be stored in a closed container in the refrigerator for several weeks and about a month in the freezer.
