We are preparing a healthy spread on bread – Beet hummus.
Ingredients:
• 200 g of fresh beets
• 3 tablespoons of tahini
• 1/2 cup of water
• 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
• 250 g of canned chickpeas
• 2 tablespoons of olive oil
• salt and pepper or other MASALE spices to taste
Cooking Beetroot hummus:
- Cut the beets in half and cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Grind the boiled beets with a blender until smooth.
- Add tahini, water and lemon juice to the pureed beets and mix with a blender for another 2 minutes.
- Add chickpeas, salt and pepper to the mixture and puree until smooth.
- Season with olive oil.
